Luke 6:38 (New International Version)
38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
I thought this was a good verse at Christmas time when we are in the giving spirit. But I want to put a challenge to you to make this an everyday occasion. And I’m not taking financially either. God has given us a gift. Each of us has one, you might not know what it is, but it’s deep inside and it take God’s help to find it.
I think I’m having an early mid life crisis (LOL), but I have been doing some major soul searching, praying and seeking God’s will in my life. I am sending out a separate post regarding all of it because it will be long but in the midst of this I have discovered that I have some to give. There is so much more to life that money and our major pursuit of it. Money is nice too. I like having it to have some security in my life. But there are other ways that we can give. We can give of our time and talents. If you are unsure what your gift is, start praying for it daily. God will show you. We can give all year long. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I will be sending out a blog on my soul searching later today, it’s my story basically and I hope you will read it and take something from it too.
Well, it’s almost the first of the year. I’m praying about many things with Almighty Chicks and I ask that you pray for me that I make the decisions that God wants me to. Also I have started a new facebook group call “let’s read the entire bible in 2010” and I hope you all will join me in this journey. I did this same program a few years ago and it was life changing to me. Until next time, keep your head up, faith strong and make every minute count. Lots of Love, AMY
